Welcome Back!

We hope you all had a great weekend! Before we get started today I'd like to share these pics with you!

This is Denise from Ohio with her Quickutz Prize from last month's drawing! Take a look at her loot!

Congratulations Denise and thanks for sharing your pictures with us! We'd love to see some of your projects you create with your new goodies!

Our friend Lainey from Australia wanted to see some projects with the Quickutz Marigold font. Here's a layout Veronica created using Marigold and Banana Split for her title.

Veronica also used the Revolution Swirls. Marigold is a Classic size font and is perfect for just about any project!

Now look at this cute card from PJ.

PJ used cardstock and patterned paper by American Crafts, her Scor-Pal, circle Nestabilities and the "This Moment" stamp from Unity Stamps. Here's how PJ created the card:

Cut cardstock 6 x 11 1/4
Use Score Pal to score at 3 1/2 and 8 1/2(Starting from left to right)
Trim the right edge with a Border Punch
Fold cardstock on score lines
Cut striped paper to 5 3/4 x 3 1/4 and mount on bottom fold of card
Cut button paper to 5 3/4 x 2 1/8 and mount on top fold of card. (This
may need to be larger or smaller depending on what border punch you
choose.)
Cut Circle Scallop in red
Stamp "This Moment" on Circle Nestablilities mount on red scallop
Add flowers and mount on top fold of the card

PJ says "This card can be recreated with any coordinating patterned paper. Many
die cuts will work for the embellishment on the top part of the card.
Be creative and use your scraps to create a few extra cards to have on
hand."

If you were here Friday, then you got to see the sketch for this week's challenge. If you missed it you can read all about it and see the sketch here. Every Friday I will post a sketch and some projects our DT has created using the sketch as inspiration. You, our readers, will have until midnight the following Monday to complete your project(s) and email them to me at Katie@scrap-mart.com. I will share ALL the projects in our With us Wednesday posts. I created the following layout by following this week's sketch:

I used some of the yummy new patterned papers from the Enchanting and Captivating Sassafrass Lass collections along with my Making Memories Slice. The circles and tag were cut with the Basic Shapes 1 design card and the car was cut from Animal Crackers. My title was cut using the Boss Kut Boy Scout alphabet. I LOVE this font! It is larger than I had imagined and it is perfect for a child's layout!

You still have plenty of time to play along and who knows, there may even be a prize involved! We'd like to wish you all a great week and we'll see you back here on Wednesday! Until then, Happy Scrappin'!

Katie

I love the sketch/map challenge. Have scrapping friends that use them a lot and just tried one myself. Seems like they would help the creatively challenged.
