Happy Friday!

Before I sat down this morning to type this post I HAD to pour myself a cup of coffee. I'm a coffee junkie! Probably not as bad as some out there but I do have at least one cup every morning. So, I'm curious. How many of our readers out there LOVE their coffee too? I know, totally off the subject...nothing to do with our Friday sketch. Perhaps my rambling means I'm not quite awake yet.

Okay now, on to projects. Do you remember last week's sketch?

I found this sketch online at Scrapbook's Etc.

Last weekend was our friend Jannie's wedding anniversary! She used this sketch to create a layout with pictures that had special meaning to them.

Some of the papers Jannie used on her layout are the same as she used in their wedding album. Also, she had found right around the time they were married in an antique store. She used both Mary Jane and Marigold alphabets for her title and added the Quickutz Nesting Squares (which she rounded with her Corner Chomper). I love how she incorporated so many items that take her back to the beginning! Thanks for sharing with us and I hope you had a fabulous anniversary!

Now check out what Shar did with the sketch...

I'm almost embarrased to admit it but I have never thought to cut the presents out of patterned paper! Seriously! LOL! I really like how Shar journaled around the edge of the layout! She used Quickutz Nesting Balloons and Stars, and the number 9 candle. She also added in the new 2x2 present, the paperclip and the new, and fabulous, Paper Doll alphabet. Shar, you've single-handedly convinced me I NEED that Paper Doll alphabet!

And how 'bout a peek at this week's sketch?

This week's sketch also comes to us from Scrapbook's Etc.

Jenn used this sketch to get her layout ready for her Halloween pictures! Now all she has to do is drop them into her layout and journal and she's done!

Jenn used her Silhouette to cut the title using a free blackletter font called "ManuskriptGotisch", which is similar to Haunted. She also added the scrolly-flourish border. What a great way to get even more scrappin' done!

And here's my layout...

I used my Gazelle and one of the frame shapes that came with the program to cut the red background. The patterned paper is a mix from Sassafras Lass Monstrosity (black) and Bungle Jungle (blue and cardsock sticker) lines. I used Scenic Route chipboard letters for my title and the stars were stamped from Unity's Let's Get Scrappy Kit.

So do you have any special plans for the weekend? I'm attending a Quick Quotes Private Reserve here in Tulsa. I'm super excited that the've expanded their retreats and can't wait to go. Tonight is the kick off crop so I'm hoping to get lots done! Tomorrow at 8 am classes begin! Whatever your plans are for the weekend I hope you have a wonderful time! It looks like the weather may clear up here and we may even have a bit of sunshine for the weekend. We'll be back on Monday with some more fabulous projects! See you then!

Coffee....I'm not a junkie but I do enjoy a cup in the morning. Sometimes even throughout the morning when it's cold out. I can go without it, but I'd rather not. LOL

Have a fun weekend!! I'll be scrapping with my little buddy, Grace. Can't wait till she gets here this afternoon. :)

Die-hard coffee junkie here. I especially love my Keurig machines - one at home, one at work. I even have a sign above the coffee machine at work that reads, "Lack of Coffee May Not Kill You, but I'm Not Taking Any Chances!"

Great projects today everyone!
