I hope you had....

a wonderful New Year. My family and I visited with some friends and rang in the New Year all together. Now that 2009 is here, I'm ready to jump right in and make this year even better than last.

The DT has created some great projects to get your creative juices flowing. Look at this great coffee cup created by Jenn.

Jenn cut a disposable coffee cup and used it for her template. She cut her cardstock to size and adhered it to another cup then added some Quickutz Winter Cookie Cutter shapes and the Quickutz Nesting Flowers on the lid. Then she added a touch of ribbon to the top and bottom of the cup. This would make a wonderful gift for a friend or even for yourself! Tuck your favorite coffee or hot chocolate mix inside and stick it in your bag to have at work the next day. So cute!

Veronica created this adorable sliding card using the Quickutz Celebration Cookie Cutter shapes.

So pretty...and this could be made for a boy or girl for any occasion! Totally adaptable! You could even tuck a gift card inside!

Look at this beautiful card from Brenda!

Brenda used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to add texture to her background then she added the Bosskut Flourish, Bosskut Small Daisy, and the Bosskut Expressionables Get Well Soon. Again, another completely adaptable project! That embossed background would look great on any card!

Veronica created this layout for her "Little Forest Guy" using the Quickutz Aquarius 4x8 alphabet, the Quickutz Revolution Owl, Quickutz 12" Branch Border, the Quickutz Revolution Squirrel and some Sassafrass Lass papers.

What a great layout!

This next project is from Jenn. This would make a great page element or would even work as a card front!

Jenn used the Spellbinders Large Pinking Nesting Circles, Quickutz retired Sunshine font, and the Quickutz Winter Cookie Cutter shapes. To create the head she used the Quickutz Saturn die and added the hat. So smart! I could totally use this on my pages of my kids playing in the snow!

Today's last project is another layout from Veronica.

This was "Falls Last Boat Trip" for Veronica and her family. She used the Quickutz 12" Butterfly border, Quickuta 2x2 Rabbit and Hedgehog, the Bosskut little bird, and the Quickutz Rockstar Cookie Cutter alphabet. All that on some Sassafrass Papers and she's got a winning layout! I love the colors!

Thanks DT for sharing your wonderful projects with us! 2009 is off to a great start! I can assure you we have some awesome things in store for you here on the blog and we hope you'll continue to join us. A little birdie told me another giveaway is coming soon so stay tuned! We hope you're gaining inspiration from all of these projects! We'd love to see your creations too. If you'd like to share your projects, feedback, ideas, etc. please email me at Katie@scrap-mart.com. I love hearing from you!

Thanks for stoppin' by today. We'll be back on Tuesday, January 6th. I know, it's usually Monday but I promise it'll be worth the wait! See you then! Have a great weekend!

Katie

I love those cards! Love the detail in Brenda's.

I was the recipient of Brenda's Get Well Card. That picture even though it is a good picture doesn't do that card justice. It is beautiful!

I want to see more!

I love the gift cup. I would never have thought of that and it's something I might actually be able to do. TFS

Scrapalicious - thanks for your comment! That cup took me less than 15 minutes to do - no joke! It's disposable so I didn't want to make it a huge project - it would be great to have on hand for after sled-riding or snow-shoveling. My boys used them for hot chocolate on New Year's Eve.

I love all of these ideas, but the "snow baby" is my favorite! I love the mug from Jenn. We had a holiday party last year and gave our guests hot chocolate in disposable cups on their way out. I wish I had seen this idea beforehand! I'm definitely going to use it for next year's party! Thanks for all of these great ideas!
