You won't believe...

your eyes when you see all the wonderful projects our DT has been working on. With December's release late due to the hang up in customs and January's early release it's like Christmas all over again!

Jenn has created the cutest layout for her son's second birthday! Check this out:

Look at what she used to create the train! What a GREAT idea! To make this layout Jenn started with Scenic Route's Surprise patterned paper and the Quickutz 4x8 Jacqueline alphabet. For the train she used the Quickutz Revolution Train and in place of the third car she added the Birthday from the new Revolution Happy Birthday die. And look how she placed the 2x2 Number 2 candle on top of the second car! How cute!

And look at this amazing bookmark from Brenda!

Brenda cut the Damask border from black cardstock 3 times and layerd them together. This technique is known as "faux chipboard" and it's used to give the item more stability to help keep it from bending so easily. This project is a great example of the application of the mirror image technique Brenda showed us in this video. Brenda cut some light blue vellum and sandwiched it between the cardstock layers giving it a stained glass appearance. Just beautiful!

Tammy also used the Damask border in this layout of her wedding day.

Tammy downloaded hers for her Silhouette and sized it for her layout. Her title was cut with the Quickutz Rollerskate font. Simple yet so elegant!

I feel I must warn you in advance that this next project will, inevitably, make you say "awwwww"!

That little beauty is Jenn's niece and she is, as the title says, Tu Tu Cute! Jenn used the gorgeous Sassafrass Lass Serendipity Blue papers and the new Quickutz Flourish from December's release. Since this layout is a gift for her sister, Jenn used the Quickutz Cookic Cutter Nesting Flowers to create a journal block for her sister to write in. The title was made using a combination of Rollerskate and Storybook. What a great layout!
Edited to add: Jenn's inspiration for this layout comes from one created by Shar/scrapindipity from the QK Community Gallery!

We're not done yet! Check out this card Veronica made!

Veronica downloaded the cake for her Silhouette. She cut it in two sizes and layered them together. She cut the title, Grattis, which means Congrats, out of glitter cardstock with the Storybook font. The cake decorations were heat embossed with a hologram glitter to make them shimmer. Veronica colored in the flame of the candle with her Copics and stamped a suitable sentiment inside. This would be a perfect card to make in multiples to have around for when you need a last minute card.

This next layout is another of Jenn's creations.

Jenn used the Chandelier Silhouette download but this shape is also available for the Revolution. Jenn cut the chandelier twice and layered them to give the chandelier more dimension. After she colored the flames she added some Stickles to give it a shimmer too. The paper is from Scenic Route and she topped off the layout with the Quickutz 12" Bead Border.

The final project for today is a delicious looking card from Brenda!

For this project, Brenda used the Revolution Banana Split and the new 4x8 Banana Split font. She cut the toppings from colored vellum! So creative!

Great post today Katie! I just wanted to give credit for my 'TuTu Cute' title inspiration to Shar/Scrapindipity who posted a layout with that title on the QK Community gallery a while back and I totally lifted it for my layout here!

Oh my goodness, what a surprise to see my own name on the Scrap Mart blog! Jenn, your tutu layout is adorable and I am flattered to be lifted by such a talented scrapper as yourself. :) I love your birthday train and just received my number candle dies today. I can't wait to use them and may just have to borrow your idea! Keep up the good work. I always look forward to your projects.
