Happy Birthday to you, and me, and her, and him and...

Party Release Dies are Here

All of us have a Birthday And no better way to celebrate than with these great Party Dies from Quickutz.

How cute is that Cake?! That could be cut in any color combo for ANYONE!!! Now, look at these adorable Number Candles! You can see in the quarter size reference that they're perfect for a card! Or even to go atop that wonderful cake you just saw!

Here's another card using the Happy Birthday and Cookie Cutter Nesting Balloons.

Look at what can be done with Scenic Route Surprise paper! Too cute!

To view the full January Quickutz Release click here. I think the Revolution Candles and the Confetti Border are my favorites!

Next I'd like to show you a beautiful card using the Quickutz Revolution Chandelier from December's release.

This comes from our Guest Blogger, PJ...Photo Junkie! Here's what PJ has to say about making this card.

Sympathy Card Idea…

I don’t know about you but I find it very hard to make my own sympathy
cards. When I look through the cards at Hallmark, they never say what
I want. The minute I saw the beautiful chandelier from QuicKutz, I
knew I wanted to create a simple but elegant sympathy card that would
express my thoughts. This is my way of saving you $3.50 each time you
have to purchase a sympathy card. While I was cutting, I made 10 of
these cards Hopefully that will last me a very long time, because the
alternative isn’t very positive. . Ladies, I’d like to offer a word of
advice, never make just one card. While you got all the supplies on
your workspace, make a bunch. We all need a quick card from time to
time. Leave it blank inside and add your words when you need to, it’s
not like we don’t have the supplies to make it happen. Besides, you
can rationalize it easier to your husband if you tell him you NEED new
dies to make cards with. In the long run it’s cheaper than a trip to
Hallmark…almost.

Anyway…

Here is the quote I created, I hope it works for you too.

May all your wonderful memories
light each new day as you
take time to heal your heart.
We are so deeply sorry
for your loss.

I chose an elegant script font and centered the text for the inside of
a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card. The Chandelier was cut out of black cardstock, the
lights were cut out of yellow cardstock and I used vellum for the
shades. The background paper is from Basic Grey but any muted
wallpaper looking paper will work.

If you would like to make this into a friendship card, I came up with
this for the inside verse…

I don’t tell you often enough,
so I wanted you to know
that you light up my world.
Your friendship gets me
through the good times
and the bad. Your constant
support and continued friendship
mean the world to me. Thank you
for being such a huge part of my life.

Enjoy,
PJ
