Are you looking...

for some ideas for Christmas cards? Or maybe you need to finish up some last minute gifts for neighbors or teachers? Perhaps you want to get a head start on your holiday layouts? Do you remember me telling you that the Scrap-Mart DT has been hard at work? Well, let me tell you, that was a serious understatement! Today you will see cards and layouts galore!

The first thing I'd like to show you today is this awesome layout from Veronica!

For this layout Veronica used the Jolly set. I love the layers and the cute Gingerbread border she added. Take a closer look at the title:

Don't you just love how she layered the title too?! In case you're curious, a rough translation for her title is "the first Christmas baking". She was making "lussekatter", a Swedish "bun" with Saffron, with her son.

Next up is a card from Veronica also created with Jolly.

I think this label is my favorite die from this set! And do you see those holly leaves and berries? The leaves are cut from felt...too cute!

And here's another card Veronica made:

On this card, Veronica used the ornament from the Jolly gift set and added a snowflake to it. "God Jul" is the Swedish translation for "Merry Christmas".

Next up we have a cute Boss KutGingerbread house from CraftyDeb.

Deb added the Quickutz Gingerbread people. Wouldn't that look great on a scrapbook page?!

And look at this stocking CraftyDeb made:

Now, it looks great as a card front but I'm thinking I may make some of these to use as stocking tags! You could use any of the 4x8 mini alphabets to add your childs name to the top of the stocking, add a little ribbon and hang 'em with the stockings! That's especially great for younger ones who can recognize their own name.

Okay, now check out this layout from Jenn.

Jenn packed this layout with die cuts. She used the Boss Kut Candy Apples and Scallop Ovals and Quickutz Jolly font, Doll and Chef Costumes, Wave border and Tab. The patterned paper is from the Sassafrass Lass Get Happy Collection. Don't those apples look delicious?

This next project was created by Brenda. Brenda received an email from one of our readers, Rainy from St. Charles, MO. Rainy created treat bags with mini Almond Joy in them. Brenda took Rainy's idea one step further and this is what she came up with:

Thank you Rainy for sharing with us!! To create this jar, Brenda used the Boss Kut Snowflakes, Quickutz Nesting Flowers (these are out of stock right now but you could use Spellbinders Nestabilities Scallop Circles in it place) and the Joy word. You can see where Brenda highlighted ares with Stickles to make them shimmer! Beautiful!
Our final project today come from DT member, Tammy. Check out this picture frame she created!

Tammy painted a wooden frame she bought at the dollar store with Making Memories paint. She added some glitter glaze to make it sparkle. Tammy used Quickutz Nutmeg font, Holly leaves and the Holly set and flowers from the Silhouette.

I hope you have all found some inspiration to help with whatever holiday projects you have in the works. We're not done yet! We have a special post coming next week with 2 tutorials, a mini book and more! And, don't forget we have a contest coming up too. I'll post the details for that next Tuesday! Until then, stay warm and Happy Crafting!

If you have any questions or comments or you would like to share your projects with us you can email me anytime at Katie@scrap-mart.com.
