Did you get your...

December coupon code email yesterday? Did you see that Scrap-Mart is now carrying JustRite Stamps?? Isn't that exciting?! I LOVE JustRite stamps. They are soooooo easy to work with and so versatile and best of all they are actually made to work with your Spellbinders dies. Awesome!

I created this card for the Page Maps December Newsletter with my new JustRite Stamps. Now that the newsletter has been posted I can share the card with you.

The 2 3/8 Round Wood Stamper with 25 pt Font Set comes with the bonus cupcake center and border. I used the cupcake center but chose the border from the 2 3/8 Homemade Treats Border and Center set. After stamping the image and border I colored it with my Triart markers. This was my first time using them and I have to say I am very impressed! I feel they are very comparable to Copics yet they are almost 1/2 the price. Don't get me wrong, I love my Copics too and they have many more color choices. But, I think Triart markers are great for someone looking to start a collection. Once I had the image colored I used my Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities to cut the image out then I mounted it with a Scallop Circle Nestabilities. I added a touch of Quickutz Scallop border under the circles and colored some parts of the image and sentiment with my Copic Spica Glitter Pens. The finished size of this card is 5x7.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on some Polar White Flower Soft. That stuff is crazy popular and after playing with it I can see why. I used it to create the snow for this card...

I used the Quickutz Revolution Snowman and added the Flower Soft under him. The Flower Soft Glue dries clear and it will leave the Polar White Flower Soft a little translucent. I learned that if you want a true white look, be sure to put a layer of white cardstock under it! You can also sprinkle glitter into the Flower Soft after you have it on your project. It adds just the right amount of sparkle.

Thanks for stoppin' by today! Don't forget about the 2010 Design Team Call going on now. You have until Dec. 15th to get your submissions in. I want to share questions I receive when they come in just in case someone else has the same one. The question I received today was...

- Can I still apply if I am currently serving on another Design Team?
YES. We will still accept your application and consider you for our DT as long as you are not serving on a DT for a direct competitor (a store that markets the same core products).

Please feel free to email me with any question you may have. This Friday we will resume with our weekly sketch challenge. You still have time to submit your project based on the last sketch, which can be found HERE. See you then!

Katie
